about

Pay as much as you can and help me produce new albums, thank you!

----------- ENGLISH ----------

Final part of a nonlinear trilogy that began with previous records DEATH and LIFE, HELL is the refinement of Kovtun’s torment., The LP shows Raphael Mandra opening his personal suffering to collaborators once again: besides long time partners Abel Marduk (guitars, piano) and Lucas Marques (drums, percussion), the mysterious project Bruxismo and the verses of Fernando Pessoa are present.

But such improvement does not sanitize Kovtun’s almost impenetrable universe. As expected, the “conclusion” of such turbulent personal saga presents his most punitive sound so far with industrial percussion, guitars that echo black metal’s raw filth, voice editing that create sounds similar to blurred memories akin to The Caretaker’s work and synth lines evoking Jarboe’s classic material, where even serenity walks side by side with the brutality of the volume.

Discussing songs separately would work against HELL’s core nature, a cohesive tracklist within its dualities. Despite the prevailing tension in the fifteen tracks, it is no exaggeration to assume that all the nihilist chaos points to the end of the tunnel rather than the rock bottom - the calm within the storm, and vice versa.
